Charitable Organizations

Many people have asked if they can give anything or do anything to help us out. At this point, there really isn't anything that we need and our family has been assisting us tremendously over the last couple weeks. We would ask that you not send any toys or stuffed animals as we already have a ton of them. The hospital also does not accept flowers or balloons in the children's rehab floor. We may need stuff for long term rehab or for when Isabella comes home, but we won't know that right away.

If you still feel that you would like to contribute something, we suggest you look at Making Headway.

This organization is not only researching cures for brain tumors, but they also provide a large support network for the victims and families, both during treatment and during recovery. They are partnered with the NYU Medical Center and its Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

  1. Dear Roneil, Julianne, Annalise, Isabella, and Nathaniel,
We have not been in touch for a very long time and we haven't seen you since the time we "accidentally" met at the Children's Museum (before Nathaniel was born), but the Prancl's shared your news with us and I wanted to write and let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers. I would like to share a prayer with you that I have been reading for a friend of mine with pancreatic cancer and I hope it brings comfort and strength to your family:
Warmest thoughts and prayers to all of you,
Jean Marie, Tom and Sophia Krygowski -(jmkrygowski@mac.com)

    A Daily Prayer for Isabella,

    December 2nd 2008 -
On this day and all the days that lay ahead, protect Isabella's body: help her respond to her treatments, cure her cancer, keep her free from pain and discomfort and give her the strength to endure whatever is necessary to leave her body whole and healthy; God, Keep Isabella in the palm of your healing hand; On this day and all the days that lay ahead, Soothe Isabella's mind and soul: help her and her family to stay calm, keep them free from fear, grant them the clear head to make good decisions and a heart filled with hope; God, keep Isabella in the palm of your healing hand; On this day and all the days that lay ahead, Watch over the doctor's and professionals that will work to heal Isabella; insure that they are competent and compassionate, that they appreciate the great gift that is Isabella's life, and that they engage the best that is within them in their work with her; God keep Isabella in the palm of your healing hand; On this day and all the days that lay ahead, Watch over Roneil and Julianne: grant them patience, wisdom, inner strength and a sense of humor - help them to be steady and sure companions on this part of the journey they will travel with Isabella and give them the ability to alleviate her anxiety at every turn; God keep the Icatar family in the palm of your healing hand; On this day and all the days that lay ahead, Be good to Isabella's sister Annalise and brother Nathaniel: give them renewed strength and hope and let them be a daily reminder of God's goodness and grace; God, keep Isabella in the palm of your healing hand; On this day and all the days that lay ahead, Guide the Icatar's family and friends: help them to step in when they are needed and to leave them be when they need respite from activity and private time to gather their thoughts - help Isabella to grow strong in the knowledge that her community walks with her; God keep Isabella in the palm of your healing hand; On this day and all the days that lay ahead, Gather in your grace all the men, women and children who are battling cancer; may their fellowship be a blessing on Isabella - bear them on the breath of dawn, make then to shine like the sun and hold them in he palm of your hand.
