Home for Christmas Eve

The doctors have OK'd Isabella to come home tonight for Christmas Eve! She has completed her full day of therapy and we will be on our way home shortly. This will allow her to be part of our traditional Slovak Christmas Eve dinner.

Unfortunately, she is not allowed to stay overnight, so I will be driving her back to the hospital later tonight. Then, we will get up bright and early and go back home for Christmas day!

  1. Please tell me you had Knedlicy with Zelli as part of your Slovak Christmas! My Dad used to make that for us on occasion. You might call it something different but it was a steamed bread with some sort of shredded cabbage and brown gravy topping. I remember that you had to cut it with thread as a knife would rip it apart.

I know it sounds disgusting but it tasted DELICIOUS! Real peasant food!

My thoughts and prayers are with you...
